COWBOYS READY TO FACE OLE MISS TOMORROW IN AT&T COTTON BOWL CLASSIC SHOWDOWN
The No. 21 Oklahoma State Cowboys (9-3, 6-2 Big 12) concluded preparations for the 74th AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic with a “walk-through” at new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. OSU will face Ole Miss tomorrow in the Classic.
Oklahoma State will be the designated “visiting” team in tomorrow’s game. The Cowboys are expected to wear white jerseys with orange pants and black trim.
OSU brings an all-time bowl record of 12-7 into this year’s Classic. This is the Pokes’ third trip to the Classic, having shutout TCU 34-0 in the 1945 Classic and falling to Ole Miss, 31-28, in the 2004 Classic.
Head Coach Mike Gundy is 2-1 in bowl games as head coach with OSU. This will be his first Classic as a head coach, having served as OSU’s assistant head coach and offensive coordinator in the 2004 Classic against the Rebels.
The 74th AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic will kick off tomorrow at 1:15 p.m. at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. For the 12th consecutive year, the Classic will be televised on FOX Sports with the legendary Pat Summerall (play-by-play), former Dallas Cowboy Daryl Johnston (analyst) and Krista Voda (sidelines) handling the broadcasting duties. For the 17th consecutive year, the Classic will be carried on the Westwood One Radio Network with Brad Sham (play-by-play) and Terry Donahue (analyst) at the microphones.
