The AT&T Cotton Bowl announced today that the 77th Classic scheduled for Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at Cowboys Stadium is officially sold out. This surpasses last year's Classic as the quickest sellout in the bowl game's history.

The matchup between the Big 12 and Southeastern Conference has generated sellouts nine of the past 10 years. The 2013 AT&T Cotton Bowl marks the fourth year the Classic has been played in Cowboys Stadium, with the first three generating three of the top four largest crowds ever at the AT&T Cotton Bowl. Last year's matchup between No. 6 Arkansas and No. 8 Kansas State was played in front of 80,956.

"We couldn't ask for a better matchup with two passionate fan bases in the Big 12 and SEC," Amy Scott, Director of Ticket Operations said. "You combine a world-class facility like Cowboys Stadium with great college football teams and tremendous local support, and it's a recipe for success."

The 2013 Classic will be played in primetime for the third consecutive year and the third time in the 77-year history of the game. The AT&T Cotton Bowl will be nationally televised on FOX, the game's television partner for 16 consecutive years. The teams will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 2.

"We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our ticket holders and partners," Tommy Bain, Chairman of the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic said. "Last year, we sold out before the opening weekend of college football, and this year, we're not even through the first month of the summer... it really is remarkable to be sold out this early."

Fans still interested in attending the 77th Classic can place their names on a waiting list for Cowboys Stadium suites. A limited number of suites will be made available. For more information on suites and the 2013 AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, please visit
