The Sanford Trophy as the Outstanding Offensive Player went to Arkansas’ Tyler Wilson and the McKnight Trophy for Outstanding Defensive Player went to the Razorbacks’ Jake Bequette.
The attendance of 80,956 is the third highest in the Classic’s history. (Note: The Classic moved from the Cotton Bowl to Cowboys Stadium in 2010.)
This was the first AT&T Cotton Bowl since 2007 to not have one individual rush for 100 yards.
The three field goals for the Razaorbacks ties them with three other teams for most in the Classic’s history. (Penn State, 1972; Alabama 1981; Texas 1984.)
Zach Hocker’s three field goals were tied for the most with three other kickers for most in one game in AT&T Cotton Bowl history. In addition, he earned 11 points (3 Field Goals, 2 Extra Points) to put him in a three-way tie for third most points by a kicker in one contest.
Arkansas is the first team in the Classic’s history to score 19 points at halftime. The Wildcats are the second school to notch nine first half points – the other was Texas in 1953.
Nigel Malone of KSU ran back the first ever AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic defensive 2-point conversion after a blocked extra point kick. (Teams became eligible to convert blocked point after touchdown for two points in 1988).
The last team to lead 3-0 after the 1st quarter was Arkansas in 2000 against Texas. Arkansas went on to win the game 27-6. It was eighth time in Classic history that a team led 3-0 after the first quarter and was the third occurrence for the Razorbacks.

Joe Adams’ punt return for a touchdown was the fifth in AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic history and first since Arkansas’ Lance Alworth ran one back for 49 yards in 1961 vs. Duke.
Adams punt return was the fourth longest return for a TD was also the sixth longest overall punt return.
Jerico Nelson’s 61 yard interception return is the fifth longest in AT&T Cotton Bowl.
The combined 25 points scored in the second quarter (Arkansas – 16, Kansas State - 9) is the fourth most in history. Three other games had 28 total points scored.
Dylan Breeding’s 46.8-yard average per punt is tied for seventh best in AT&T Cotton Bowl history.
Arkansas had 62 yards in punt returns, all from Joe Adams, which is 10th best in the Classic’s history. In addition, the 20.67 punt return average is seventh all-time.
Tyler Wilson’s 20 pass completions put him ninth on the all-time AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic list.
Arkansas’s 28 rushing attempts are tied for 10th fewest by one team.
The two fumbles by both teams is tied for eighth with eight other schools for the fewest fumbles.
The seven quarterback sacks for Arkansas is tied with UCLA for the fifth most in AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic history.
