FOX will broadcast the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic through 2014.

FOX Sports and the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic announced an agreement has been reached to extend their partnership through 2014. As part of the extension, in celebration for the Classic’s 75th anniversary in 2011, the AT&T Cotton Bowl will kick off in primetime on Friday, January 7th at 7 p.m. CST.

“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our 75th anniversary than a primetime kick off at Cowboys Stadium,” AT&T Cotton Bowl President Rick Baker said. “With the BCS moving to cable, the Classic will be the only network primetime bowl game in 2011, and we couldn’t be more excited.”

FOX is entering its twelfth year of televising the AT&T Cotton Bowl. This year’s Classic, which marks the final year of the current FOX agreement and the first in Cowboys Stadium, will match up the Big 12 and Southeastern Conferences on Saturday, January 2nd, 2010 at 1 p.m. CST. Dates and times for the 2012, 2013 and 2014 Classics have not been set.

Negotiations are progressing with the Big 12 and SEC to extend the conference contracts past the 2010 Classic.

↓Since FOX began televising our game in 1999, they have been innovative and creative in their production,” Baker said. “They have gone out of their way to support our conference partners and our title sponsor, AT&T, and we look forward to working with Ed Goren (president) and his team at FOX for many years to come.”
