17th bowl, but first Cotton, for veteran OSU coordinator

In 40-plus years of coaching, Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Bill Young has been in lots of bowl games - Rose, Orange, Holiday, Liberty, etc.

But this will be Young's first AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic.

Young, 63, has coached in the NFL and high school ranks in addition to his vast experience at the college level. He was born in Hereford, Texas and grew up in Oklahoma City revering the Cotton Bowl as a New Year's tradition.

"I've been to the Rose, the Orange, but I had never been to the Cotton Bowl," Young said. "I'm excited about it."
