It's not just the made-for-media events that keep the players and other participants busy during the week of the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic. The game's organizers have a whirlwind schedule of events to keep everyone entertained.

Tuesday night, the players had their choice of attending a Dallas Stars hockey game or a Robert Earl Keen concert at House of Blues. Several players opted to rest instead after what's already been a busy week, including a trip to a Main Event entertainment center that featured marathon games of laser tag.

"I was in there sweating," Ole Miss defensive end Kentrell Lockett said. "We were playing the defensive line versus the linebackers. We won a couple. They were trying to get the coaches to play, but they wouldn't do it."

Before the week is done, the players will also have been treated to a trip to the Mesquite Rodeo, an ice cream social, a pizza party and a caricature night. For the coaches' families, bowl organizers have provided a kid's craft fair and mini-spa treatments from Origins.
